Project Descriptions

The program " Support to the National Program for Investment in Agriculture " ( PAPSEN / PNIA ) is one of the major initiatives between Senegal and funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs , with a credit of 30 million intended to help the Ministry of Agriculture in Senegal , for the conduct of research / development, training and specialized technical assistance (RFA ) Senegalese institutions active in the field of food . The Institute of Biosciences and bio-resources , together with the Institute of Biometeorology ( IBIMET ) and in collaboration with the Senegalese institutions , in particular the ISRA ( Institut de Recherches Agricoles Sénégalais ) , aims to develop research activities aimed at local development , through the establishment of partnerships between the world of research and production systems , focusing on emerging issues at the international level particularly felt in Senegal such as climate change and their impact on traditional agriculture , biodiversity and species protection and domestic varieties , the local rural development , integrated management of water resources and soil fertility and management of information on fruit and vegetable markets .
