Genetic resources:
- characterisation of germplasm segments of pulse and hulled wheat species;
- evaluation of genetic variation within and among species of interest for Mediterranean agriculture by using biochemical techniques;
- characterisation and evaluation of Italian landraces of legume species.
Seed quality:
- evaluation of grain and meal composition for nutritional traits;
- quantisation of anti-nutritional and toxic compounds in legume seeds.
Proteins:
- analysis of protein fractions by using electrophoretic techniques (CE, SDS-PAGE and PAGE).
- sequence analysis (including DNA sequences).
She is author of more than 190 scientific contributions, the 40% of which are papers published in international peer-reviewed journals and books.
